Did you know daughters born to teen mothers are more likely to be teen mothers themselves? Three times more likely, in fact. That’s a lot…and Danielle is one of those girls. Being a teen mother herself, Danielle’s mom wanted to make sure it didn’t happen to her child. As a result, she had stressed to Danielle time and time again the risks of unprotected sex. Unfortunately though, Danielle still ended up pregnant. It’s not like she didn’t know how to avoid...

Did you know nearly 78% of teens say they have all the information they need to avoid an unplanned pregnancy? So, if that’s the case, why are there more than 750,000 teen pregnancies in the United States each year? That means more than 2,000 girls get pregnant each day. Holy Hannah! Maybe they think it can’t happen to them? Except that really doesn’t count as protection.  And because I insist on continuously emphasizing this, I may as well say it one more time…...

So, what happens when your parents just don’t like your boyfriend? And better yet, what happens when your parents don’t like your boyfriend…who also happens to be the father of your twin sons? Sounds like a recipe for disaster to me. Unfortunately, this is exactly what Jennifer experienced after she and boyfriend Joshua got pregnant with twin boys (Joshua Jr. and Noah).  And, yup, you guessed it: Jennifer’s parents aren’t exactly number one in the Joshua...

The wait is finally over—Season 3 of 16 & Pregnant aired last night. After a two week break from Teen Mom 2, I think it is safe to say we were all excited to fill our empty Tuesday nights with a little 16 & Pregnant. For those of you who missed it, no worries—I’m here to bring you up to speed. Jordan and Jessica are 17-year-old identical twin sisters. They do everything together—and I literally do mean everything, including modeling. They both left “...

After 12 episodes of relationship drama, breakups, engagements, cute babies, crying babies, money problems, weddings, more crying babies, and family hardships, Teen Mom 2 has come to an end. And just like that you find yourself with an extra hour of time on Tuesday nights, with nothing to watch on TV.  Sounds awful right?  I mean, after spending that much time watching them on TV, its hard to not feel attached to the girls. After the finale I found myself wondering what all of the...

After 12 episodes, we have reached the end of season and I must admit, I have become quite attached to the stories of these girls after watching all of the episodes. Some have found their happy ever after (Leah and Corey), while others appear to be headed down a better path for now (Kailyn/Jo and Chelsea), while there is still the one that very clearly has some reevaluating to do (Jenelle). Nonetheless, we have learned a lot of lessons along the way from watching their lives unfold on TV....

So, let’s jump straight to it—the real big story of the week! Jenelle and her mom, Barbara. In a super quick recap, last week Jenelle stole her mom’s credit card to pay for a trip to New Jersey with boyfriend Kiefer, which she lied to her mother about. Now, fast-forward to this week. Barbara gets the bill in the mail and learns Jenelle charged over $700 to her card. Think she was very happy about that? Yeah… not so much.  This, of course, results in one of...

Almost half of all teens (47 %) never thought about how their lives would change if they got pregnant or got someone else pregnant. That’s a lot considering how drastic the change really is. Life rarely stays the same after having a baby. It’s especially true when we’re talking about relationships. When a baby is added to the picture, there’s suddenly an added stress in life. Not only is the mom worrying about her own social life, school work, and financial problems,...

So, I don’t know how many of you have been tuning into Teen Mom 2, but it has been a pretty intense season so far!  We have four moms—Jenelle, Leah, Chelsea, and Kailyn.  They are all in completely different situations, but they are all trying to do the same thing—be a teen and a mom at the same time.  That means taking care of a baby while trying to balance school work, boyfriends, parents, the boyfriend’s parents, friends, and money… all at the...
