The Possibility Project
This fall, The Possibility Project, a non-profit that runs youth programs in New York City, tackled the issue of safe sex and condom. But instead of printing out pamphlets or just passing out condoms, the Possibility Project kids decided to do something super innovative: they created a flash mob.
A flash mob is a large group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place, perform an unusual act for a brief time, then disperse...it's meant to look totally random and out-of-the-blue, but flash mobs have usually rehearsed their performances for weeks or months prior to their "performance. The Possibility Project flash mobbers rehearsed for three weeks before they performed to Lady Gaga's Ribbons in Washington Square Park.
We love this idea and think it's a fantastic way to get people in the loop about birth control, unplanned pregnancy, and STIs. If we had a "Best Way to Stay Teen" Award, the Possibility Project would totally win it!

WHAT OTHER TEENS ARE SAYING:
The video is faker than fake...lines were set up and if not very poor thinking.
I love the video it was so true and funny
Just for clarification; Tobacco companies that make commercials telling teens to not smoke, really want you to keep smoking. If you quit smoking I lose my JOB!!!!! If you start making healthier decisions, I lose everything!!!!! :’( Do you think that people try to keep people at a certain level in life? If the person realizes that these people are doing this to them, then…wait. Did you hear that? Ahhhh!
Has anyone actually sat with their partner and talked about if they are ready or not? LOL it seems as these so called "professionals" know that teens don't talk with their partners about it or more like they know that you won’t talk about it. However they know you think about it afterwards..."oops, I shouldn't have done it" TO LATE U LOSE! Wanna buy this, get that, use this...its like a new customer. It's like tobacco after the old customers die, we need new ones. So how can we get new ones? Let's make commercials, advertise, movies, products, colors, flavors, involve other teens, make it look as the “in Thing”! Once you've done it, you can't take it back! It’s like the philip morris tobacco company commercials, “LOOK WE ARE HERE TO HELP YOU. (sure pal.) THINK. DON’T SMOKE.” Big lie.
No surprise, no surprise at all!
The Parents Television Council has released their annual survey of prime time broadcast shows, and it documents a disturbing trend toward the sexualization of girls. Findings include:
*Young girls portrayed in sexual depictions more often than adult females.
*Sexualized content without parental warning
*98% of the sexual incidents involving underage female characters occurred outside of any form of a committed relationship
There are lots more findings!!! Wow the Truth of it all. These people, yes these people saying they are helping you are either sucked in as well, don't realize or even want to realize or are part of the s** trend movement. HA! Wake up, smell the, Eeww…
To be honest, I think the music is lame, the dance seems cheesy. I hope you all aren't tryin to be like the Truth Campaign cause if you were then you would say that wrapping it up, you still have a chance to contract an STD or two, You can still get pregnant or get someone pregnant. Plus why do you think we have such a huge problem with STD's, Unwanted Pregnancies and Broken Relationships. Wrappin it up don't take care of much at all let alone calling it "Protection" YOU should be ashamed of yourselves. No matter how much you add or try to promote its like setting teens up for a less impacting failure...ITS still a failure! I think you all are dealing with the symptoms of the problem, not the core of it all. I understand what you are trying to do, but isn’t it true that this message has been said for the last 50 plus years??? Huh, we still have the same problem, oh wait its worse! Wow, this is sad. Please Reply, if you feel the need to.
