Teen Mom 2, Season 3: Breakdown
This week on Teen Mom 2 Leah and Jenelle both get big surprise, Chelsea tries to not let Adam get her down and Kailyn plays it safe with the new guy in her life.
Kailyn likes hanging out with Javi but she doesn’t want to jump into a new relationship just yet. She likes that he has goals for his future and is very patient and decides that she’ll introduce him to Isaac just as a friend. They all hang out together and Javi and Isaac seem to get along so Kailyn gives him the seal of approval. She doesn’t want to keep introducing Isaac to new boyfriends but Javi is okay with just casually dating. This is the most we’ve seen Kailyn smile in a while! Looks like she’s finally moving on from both Jo and Jordan!
Chelsea moves into her new house and prepares for her final GED tests. On the night of Adam’s 21st birthday she gets really emotional because she’s been with him on his birthday for the past three years.
She and Adam have been talking but just about Aubree. Her mom advises her to start working on the two of them parenting separately. She’s not sure if she passed yet but she finally completed all her GED tests! Good for Chelsea. A huge sense of accomplishment is a great way to distract her from her emotions about Adam.
Jenelle gets a surprise call from Andrew who she hasn’t heard from in over a year. He says that he still loves her and is going to get a second job and start paying child support. 80% of teen fathers don’t marry the mothers of their child and these fathers pay less than $800 annually in child support. Do you think Andrew will come through for Jenelle and Jace if he is the father? With the return of Andrew, Jenelle can’t ignore the fact that she’s not sure if Andrew or her friend Tori’s ex-boyfriend is Jace’s father. She calls him back and asks him if he’s willing to take a paternity test. He agrees and Jenelle promises to call him back once she finds a DNA testing place.
Jeremy and Leah go on a romantic getaway to a cabin in Tennessee. After surprising Leah with breakfast in bed, Jeremy also surprises her with an engagement ring! They’ve only been together two months but they are both sure of their relationship. Leah says she doesn’t see anything bad happening to her and Jeremy’s relationship. The thing about relationships is you usually don’t foresee the bad things; if you did, you wouldn’t enter the relationship in the first place.
Jeremy and Leah both talk about how they want to have kids pretty young so Leah decides to take out her IUD. Without talking to Jeremy about it. Just because Jeremy says he wants to have kids young doesn’t mean he’s ready right this second. On top of all of this, Leah takes a pregnancy test and finds out she’s pregnant. As a divorced 19 year old with two kids and a fiancé that’s only around on the weekends, I think Leah is in WAY over her head. What do you think? Is Leah being smart and responsible with her decisions or should she have thought this through more carefully? Comment below!
