Jenna and KC Finalize Their Baby's Adoption

Did you see last night's Degrassi? When Jenna and KC finalized their baby's adoption? That scene where Jenna and KC watched Tyson get carried out of their lives? I know I wasn't the only one doing the ugly cry watching that scene. And Jenna just looked numb. I'm sure she has yet to fully process her emotions about it, even if she feels sure she made the right decision. (Makes you think about what Holly J's birth mom went through when she gave her up—wasn't Holly J eleven months old, too?)

Myth Monsters

Think Greek

One of our favorite shows is Greek on ABC Family. It’s about a bunch of people who go to college together. Casey and Cappie are two of the main characters—Casey is a popular member of the ZBZ sorority, and Cappie is her ex-boyfriend (they’re still pretty friendly though). There are a bunch of other characters—Ashleigh, Rusty, Calvin, Dale, Rebecca, Katherine to name a few—and most of them live together in fraternity and sorority houses.

In a recent episode Casey and Cappie had a pregnancy scare; there’s a lot to think about after watching it.

Friday Five: What I Wish I Knew About Contraception

We asked some of our favorite college-age friends (who used to be on our Youth Leadership Team way back when!) about what they wish they knew about contraception before going to college. They talked and we're sharing...but we did change their names to protect their privacy. There's no shame in talking about birth control, but sometimes it's easier to do it when your name isn't involved!

Myth vs. Fact: Coke is It?

THE MYTH: Douching with Coca-Cola (“Coke”) right after sex will prevent pregnancy.

Update and Advice from 16 and Pregnant's Lizzie

We first met Lizzie in Season 2 of 16 and Pregnant. Her pregnancy forced her to drop out of high school and the marching band, and she had to confront a cheating boyfriend. Lizzie's back to update us on her life and to pass on some advice she's learned since her episode aired. Download the discussion guide from Lizzie's episode; watch her episode.

The Possibility Project

This fall, The Possibility Project, a non-profit that runs youth programs in New York City, tackled the issue of safe sex and condom. But instead of printing out pamphlets or just passing out condoms, the Possibility Project kids decided to do something super innovative: they created a flash mob.

Myth vs. Fact: Homemade Condoms

THE MYTH: If you don’t have a condom, you can use plastic wrap or a plastic bag.

Myth vs. Fact

Think you're in-the-know about sex and can weed out fact from fiction? Put your knowledge to the test because we're about to separate fact from fiction and put some sex myths to bed. Here are some of the most popular myths we've heard about sex, including a few submitted by Stay Teen readers.

16 and Pregnant Consequences

MTV’s 16 and Pregnant is back on the air and last week’s episode followed Brooke and Cody, a teen couple who had been dating for two years when Brooke found out she was pregnant. Not only did they choose to keep their baby, but Brooke and Cody also took their relationship to the next level by getting married. The episode took the audience through the beginning of Brooke’s pregnancy, the birth of Brooke and Cody’s son Brody, and what life was like for them after he was born. No offense to the couple, but as I was watching I couldn’t help but feel super relieved that I wasn’t living their life.
