For three months during the summer season, families come to Lake Eleanor to escape the trials and tribulations they face back home. For the young adults of these families, summer allows them to reinvent themselves. "The Lake" is seen through the eyes of Olivia Harris, a newcomer to Lake Eleanor this summer. Coming in with low expectations, she quickly becomes friends with a tight-knit group of teens that hang out together every summer. The recently blended family of the Knights and the Davenports make up half of this clique -- the artsy Madison; the goofy and self-conscious Drew; and their stepsister, the gorgeous Alexis. They are joined by the handsome Ryan Welling and local Luke Campbell. Luke is also charged with covering up for his younger sister, Shelby, who is mysteriously absent from Lake Eleanor.
From executive producer Jordan Levin and executive producer/director Jason Priestley ("Beverly Hills, 90210," "90210"), "The Lake" explores the romances, jealousies, friendships and rivalries that are made all the more precious by their fleeting nature. When summer gets too hot, head for "The Lake" at TheWB.com.

3 in 10 girls in the U.S. get pregnant by age 20. That amounts to 745,000 teen pregnancies each year. Most of them thought it wouldn't happen to them.
- 1 in 6 girls in the U.S. will be a teen mother. What will you do to make sure you're not the one?
- Almost 50% of teens have never considered how a pregnancy would affect their lives. Have you thought about it? What are you waiting for?
- Nearly 2/3 of teens who have had sex by age 18 say they wish they'd waited longer. Does knowing this make you feel like it's OK to wait?
- Did you know that teens who are having sex on a regular basis and not using protection have an 85% chance of pregnancy within a year? If you don't like those odds, you have two choices: don't have sex at all or use protection every single time.
- Younger siblings of teen parents are more likely to have sex during their early teen years, and younger sisters of teen mothers are more likely to get pregnant as teens. Why do you think that's true?
- Did you know that less than half of teen mothers ever graduate from high school and fewer than two percent earn a college degree by age 30? If finishing high school and going to college are in your plans, then plan to prevent pregnancy.
- If you're drunk or high, you can't make good decisions about sex. More than one-third of sexually active teens and young adults age 15 to 24 report that alcohol or drug use has influenced them to do something sexual.
- Dating someone 3-4 years older than you are when you're still a teen is a recipe for disaster: chances are higher that sex will happen, and that it will be unprotected -- even unwanted.
- 40% of teen guys and 48% of teen girls say that trust is the most important part of a healthy relationship. How do you know when you can trust someone?
- Everyone's not "doing it." Just under half of teens in high school are having sex. Which means the other half aren't. And some of them are lying about it. Does that surprise you?
- Sex won't make him yours, and a baby won't make him stay. In fact, 8 in 10 fathers of babies born to teens don't marry their babies' mothers.
- You can always say "no" to sex, even if you've said "yes" before.
- Have a plan: either don't have sex at all, or use protection every time. Figure out what you'll do in the heat of the moment before it arrives. Ask yourself: if my plan is to wait, how will I say no without hurting feelings? If my plan is to say yes, what kind of protection will I use? How will I be sure to insist on it? Where will I get it? Do I know how to use it correctly?
- Think the sex talk with your parents is awkward? Try telling them you're pregnant. If you've got questions, ask them. You'll be glad you did.
